 TT98-XL's Column
Weekly 98 - Assen

Well it is this time of the year again! The Dutch TT of Assen, this year we celebrate the 75th GP of the Netherlands, and for the 75th time at Assen!
And guess who will be there to celebrate!? Yours truely! Did I mention yet that it's extremely hot while I'm writing this weeks column? Man it really is, but that asside, a real writer, writes in any given cercomstances!

So who will it be this time at Assen? I know who will win the MotoGP race this year, but do you readers know it aswell? I can be brief about the winner. He's Italian and has the #33 plate on his blue Movistar sponsored bike! And the winner is! Marco Melandri... For sure you'll think "he's really lost it this time" but think about it he's had an excellent season so far, and he's still growing, a thing we saw in 1998 aswell! Marco came from nowhere, well he had a couple of podium finishes during the season he rode but he WON!

Another thing is: Isn't Rossi on the same track as Melandri. Well yes he is, but weren't Sakata and Azuma there aswell in 1998, both japanese riders who were very good! Ok, not from the same calibre as Rossi but still it was a great achievement by Melandri!

Anyway I want to ask all of you something: Watch out for a big banner actually 3 on the start straight just after the last chicane on grandstand!

1: MELANDRI RULES!
2: Official Fanclub Marco Melandri
3: Italian Flag

Cheers, and see you in Assen!
