Round 15. Japan : Motegi
SFW takes his ninth victory of the
season at Motegi. Guishermo and Skider completed the podium. Vouks,
Seby and LuKe fought till the line for 4th.

Yamaha UK-NL (winner, 17:00.631):
"Thank you all, congratulations to Guishermo for the great race and
Skider once again showed his greatness by finishing on podium with very
little practice.
Also gg to Vouks, Seby and LuKe for the very nice race together(
enjoyed the replay very much) and of course gg to Braddrs with strong
race and good result.
I expected a hard race for me here because the track very demanding on
concentration and little mistakes have much effect on the lap times and
your pace. In the practice sessions I couldn't do more the 4-5 laps
without mistakes but in the official race it was almost perfect.
In the race Guishermo got the best start but I could stay close behind
him, then for the next few laps I've tried to go as fast as possible
and attack Guish but he was very fast and every time he went like a
maniac through last 3 corners and then took me half a lap to make the
lost time back.
Someway mid race I pushed hard and got past him but Guish fought back
and we were side by side for one lap. then Guish caught my slipstream
on braking after back straight and went a bit wide and i had a gap. the
gap stayed the same until last lap where Guish made a little mistake
and gave me some room to finish in style.
My team once again did good, Bradders did great and took some good
points and Dolz had some problems but still was able to beat Yvos."

Lords Of Shadow (2nd, 17:02.043):
"GG to everybody who took part, specially to SFW for great win (i'm
sick and tired of saying that every race) and to Skider because with no
practice he did a podium result, anyway this shouldn't be a surprise
because hes still world champion.
My race was one of the best of the season, i did a good start and i
cant remember the last time i was able to finish the first lap in 1st
position (in fact i improved my pb in the first lap with 1´44´1, maybe
it was because Seby wasn't there to go away at the beginning as always
and put pressure on the people since the beginning). After that i had a
quite good pace compared to practice but i knew SFW was in my tail
every single lap and i was expecting to be overtook and see him go
away... In fact he overtook by mid-race i think and opened a gap of 6
tenths and i thought he would escape, but i tried my best and keep the
gap during some laps... Then the last lap arrived and i was pretty
close to him (maybe 3-4 tenths) and told myself that i had to try it,
but in the first corner i braked too late and touched the gravel, lost
some tenths there and realized it would be impossible... Then i tried
to take it easy to the end because it was a good result for the fight
with Vouks for 3rd in the standings and for the team standings...
Finally second and very pleased, it was fun but Seby and Skider (maybe
Vouks too, i don't know) hadn't practiced so with more practice maybe
they could have beaten me, next time in Phillip i hope we all are in
good shape and have a good fight!

Also GG for all who take part in this race and special to Luke and Seby
because we was in same (SLOW) room and have allot fun there...... Brad
did also a very good race gg m8. Well 3 more races to go were Yvos will
beat Dolz and so maybe ouer team will take that 3th place in the team
standings. About 3th in riders standings i feel not so fast as Guish
this year but i will fight to the end. See you all in PI were maybe we
have some news about 2009 contracts."
Seby Lords Of
Shadow (5th, 17:05.329):
"Congratulations SFW for the victory and Guishermo and Skider for
podiums.
Also gg to Brad for 7th and to Joey for the Class C title.
I didn't have time to practice for Motegi so i was just trying to have
fun on track.
My qualifying was slow, i was 5th and that means it's the lowest place
on the grid for me in 26 races (in which i was in top3).
The race started and i was leading in the first lap, Luke was close
behind me but i didn't see what Vouks was doing, i guess he was further
behind. By mid race Luke passed me but i fought back and took the lead
again but near the end he passed me again and i couldn't keep up. With
2 laps to go i pushed too hard to catch Luke because i knew it was my
last chance but i touched the grass and lost about 1 second. Vouks then
came close to me and even if Luke was first and Vouks 3rd, i had a
feeling that Vouks will win the race till the end, tho it seemed almost
impossible at that time. In the last lap i was over 1 second behind
Luke but he made a mistake in the first corner of the last lap. Then we
were side by side all that lap, after half a lap all 3 bikes were
inside each other like it was only 1 bike there and i was laughing out
loud, i couldn't concentrate on the race because it was too funny. In
the penultimate corner i made my move and passed them but i lost the
first place on the acceleration and finally finished 2nd, very close to
V. All 3 of us were in 0.1 and i can say this was one of the best races
in which i ever took part and for that i thank Luke and Vouks. I always
said that i prefer a good battle and finish lower in the results than
to finish higher after a very boring race."
LuKe Dark
Racing Corporation (6th, 17:05.381):
"GG for everyone who take part especially SFW, Gui and Skider for your
podium.
I raced with Vouks, Seby and Bradders in a room and it was a very
thrilling and strange Race, one of the best and closest in this Champ,
the onliest problem was, that it was a little bit slow, we all can get
faster but the very close fights costs us important time to get on the
podium.
In the first Laps Seby was very strong and was 0,8 sec in front of me.
After i can get more concentration i went closer to Seby and we have a
very very nice fight which was very funny. Seby was harder on brakes
than me and i was a bit better in acceleration so we ride all the time
side by side. Vouks was watching us without really taking part in the
fight until now. In the last 2 Laps i went a bit faster than Seby and
Vouks and push so hard that i was 1 sec in front (Seby make little
mistake in this part of the race) We went in the last lap, i was in
front and thought i need to push hard to came in front at
finish.....but than in the first curve i brake to late and went off the
track, i think it cost me 1,5 sec. After this Vouks and Seby were to
strong to get overtake again and i lost a good place. Congrats to Vouks
and Seby for this great Race and Fight and also congrats to Bradders
who make a very good Race and finished on a very good 7th place.

"GG SFW for a new win this year, also Guishermo who finishes strong
that season and Skider, always able of great performances.
I had poor training here, after my disappointing last results, but i'm
happy enough the way i raced.
I overtook Dolz in early laps and made a gap on him, following fabbsan,
the French rider on the move. I stayed on that position until last 2
laps, when i started to think too much on my tyres, let Dolz come back
and fabbsan escape...
Anyway i managed to beat Thunder (recovering from a crash while leading
the race), in a UGLY last lap both of us made ....
Now Phillip Island, a fast track i like well, let's see what will
happen."

"I like Motegi, one of my loved track (also with Valencia, Brno) and I
thanks all riders, who took part with me in room, really good race from
this point of view.
Yeah, Spidey, very nice spectacular crash for you in 2nd lap, nice view
with all 8 riders and you on end the snake with full speed in to the
gravel.
Sure I am looking forward on your sound of bike behind me again like in
Indi.
I am glad that DNStouron can fix his technical problems, because I love
race with him, very nice close battles the whole season and also in
this Motegi race it would be fight again between us, pity that you
crash in 3.lap, you was tight behind me and this time in second half of
race I pushed very hard with 1:44 times.
Next race is on Sunday, I hope we see us again with the same 8 riders
on start."

"Hello every one. I'm very happy with another victory in my class. This
victory is special because it gives me the title of Academy
Championship.
I have done a good race only with a little mistakes. My objective is
finish in the podium because i don't have a lot of time to practice
this week. So the victory in my class and get the title was a very good
weekend.
I want to thanks all hosts o supports my races.
A big thanks to Spidey because he helps me in this final of season.
And a special thanks for all riders of my team Dark Racing and for my
manager darkJr who gives-me the opportunity to race with his team and
fight for this championship. he teach me a lot of thing at the begin of
the season. so because of that my Special thanks for my manager darkJr.
because this title is also yours.

"congrats SFW, Guish and Skider. Very close top 7 finish! nice. GG to
Joey for the win in class C, and Blejz for 2nd place in his first race
i think?! (Class C).
I would rather not talk about my race as i am starting a new chapter in
racing. I like the feel, its better than the arcade version of the
game. But just for the records, i crashed about 3 times, ran wide a
whole bunch of other times, so this really is not a race showing my
pace. All i can say is i will try to put on a better show next time at
Phillip island. I hope to see rezist take part in his home race.
Thanks for holding my session Atman. Look for a white Honda behind ya
in the next round.
Oh my god! How did i miss that, Congrats Joey for Class C
championship!! World Champion 2008 C class. Wow! nice, gr8 going m8!
And to take it with victory is just amazing! just like Rossi eh??

Statistics:
SFW has extended the lead in the Rider Standings to 54 points to Seby
with his 9th victory of the season in Motegi. Guishermo is 3rd, 144
points behind SFW. Vouks is 4th, 9 points behind Guishermo with Gabi46
further 41 points behind Vouks.
Lords Of Shadow are first in the Team Standings, 38 points in front of
Team Yamaha UK-NL. Dark Racing Corporation are 3rd, only 11 points in
front of Arkos Connection but 194 points behind the leading team.
Oasics NoGrip Racing completes the top 5.
Yamaha has extended the lead in the Constructors Standings to 43 points
over Kawasaki. Suzuki is 3rd, 168 points behind Yamaha while Honda and
Ducati complete the top 5.
In the Qualifying Award, Seby leads but SFW has reduced the gap to
1.493s. LuKe is 3rd at 12.462s behind the Romanian, while Gabi46 and
Thunder complete the top 5.
In the Hot Lap Award SFW has extended the gap to Seby to 0.821s after
his 6th Hot Lap of the season. Guishermo is 3rd at 5.668s while Gabi46
and Thunder complete the top 5.
SFW has extended the lead in the Total Time Award to 40.801s over Seby.
Guishermo is 3rd, over 2 minutes behind SFW. Gabi46 and Thunder
complete the top 5.
