About
Valencia:
I've always finished the season with a good result and again on my best
track.
I really like this track and i was fast right from the first practice
session. Most practice was with med-med and my pb was 29.7 and total
time 16:39. I've also done a practice race with softs and i had hot lap
of 29.3 and total time 16:40. Best solution was soft-med with which i
did 29.4 hot lap and 16:36 total time. The problem was that i made many
mistakes in practice, many falls. For official race i had a slower
setup but one with which i didn't make so many mistakes in practice. I
did 29.3 in official qualifying but i knew i could have done much
better. I don't know why but in the last (many) qualifying sessions i
couldn't push too much, i didn't felt good on the bike with softs tyres
like i used to feel at the start of the season. I've lost many poles in
the second half of the season. The race started and i didn't take a
very good start, i was a bit behind SFW but i didn't want to push right
from the start to avoid a crash. After 2 laps SFW froze and i did the
rest of the race alone. I didn't like it because i didn't have somebody
there to keep me pushing hard and i got bored easily. I finished the
race without mistakes but i was a bit slow, around 0.3 per lap (3
seconds in total). After my race i hosted SFW and i did my job pretty
well, i put pressure on him most of the race and he made many small
mistakes so the victory was mine. But i have to admit that i was pretty
worried when i saw SFW's last 4 laps, i was thinking that he was going
to beat me. When i saw his total time i relaxed and felt good about the
victory.
SFW was strong at Valencia and that's good because everybody else was
too far behind and this is a bit disappointing. Valencia seems to be my
best track until now, 3 years in a row i have the victory + pole + hot
lap and i now join Skider who had 3 wins in a row at Brno and PI and
SFW at Catalunya (not in a row). I'm happy to be the only rider who has
win+pole+hot lap 3 years in a row, Skid and SFW have only victory.
About the
season:
Big Congratulations SFW!
SFW you have always been my biggest rival, even from my first online
race back in 2004. Before the start of the season we were equal at
34-34 (races in which we beat each other) but now you lead with 46 to
40. Skider is a great champion but we've always been great friends to
have this kind of rivalry like we have SFW. Remember what i used to
say? i don't mind if i finish 5th as long as SFW is 6th. lol
In the first half of the season we were very close to each other, same
level of racing while others were pretty far behind. At Assen i felt
very slow (actually i was lol) and then i kind of lost a bit the
motivation, i felt outclassed by SFW. Then came wet Sachs, again i felt
very slow and i lost many points in the fight for the title. Then came
Laguna and it could have been my come back. I could have won that race
but fell while leading the race. With a victory there the fight would
have been again very tight. That fall was decisive for my title
chances. After that i did have motivation but only for race wins, i
knew right then the title was far from me. At Brno i was pretty fast
but lost the race to SFW, then at Misano we were all outclassed again
by SFW. Indianapolis could have been a good moment to strike back and
get the motivation back but again i fell while leading the race and at
that moment the title was lost 99%. The only races where i fell were in
the US, it was like a curse. I fell at 2 races in the same country
while leading the races, with those 2 wins the fight for the title
could have been until Valencia. That's racing, shit happens, it's in
human nature to want more and more so I'm disappointed about this
season because i knew i was stronger than last year but got a bit worse
results (less wins, less points, less poles). I guess the problem isn't
only with me, SFW this season was much stronger than Skider last year
so it was hard to do the same good results as last year.
I've been 2 years in a row second in the standings and in a way it
feels good to always be up there fighting for the victory and title but
in a way it feels like shit because no matter how hard i try i still
end up 2nd.
It's good we kept the title with our team, Lords of Shadows. We are
champions 2 years in a row now and the team will be even stronger next
year and our goal will be to win the title again.
Kawasaki has been good but not as good as i felt on Yamaha so it's a
good chance we'll change back next year.
About the
community:
Now I want to express my feelings about the community.
Huge thank you to Dolz and Yvos for helping me keep this
site/championship at the top.

Thanks and congratulations Guishermo for helping the team get the
teams' title again.
Thanks Mircea, catutza, DarkBringer, Wd, CBR for the work with the
second team.

SFW Team
Yamaha UK-NL (2nd, 16:41.896):
"GG to winner Seby and also gg to Vouks with another podium finish.
Even though the championship was already mine I still wanted to finish
on podium so i would have all podium finish this season.
At first i didn't have the feeling with the track but after some setup
tweaks I felt comfortable and was starting to think about winning the
race.
The race went good, my start was good and first 3 laps were also good.
Then Seby overtook me and I've tried to get him back but by taking
different lines I've made some small mistakes and lost some time. Now
looking back it didn't matter anyway because Seby was the fastest rider
here like he was over the past years.
About the season.
Last year was not so great for me, had little time to practice and was
buisy with running my own team. Often i had the speed but crashed in
the race and eventually lost the interest to practice enough to be
consistent.
For this season I wanted to do as little things as possible and just
concentrate on two things I like the most ....... making setups and
riding.
I was looking for a team to join as a rider and Dolz was the one who
let me ride for his team. The winter testing went really good and I was
starting to think maybe I could win 2-3 races if I had a good day. The
first half of the season was just amazing, both me and Seby have
reached such a high level that the race was done even before it
started. if one rider was a little faster then that was it, 0.2 sec/lap
without any mistakes is 2 sec behind in the final result and that huge.
So the races itself were not so great but the battle for the
championship was amazing. It was only matter of time for one rider to
make one mistake and I was sure it was going to be me but Seby was the
one to crash in Laguna Seca. From then on I had some strong races and
could take it easy when needed.
Hey Seby, thanks for the kind words. You have grown so much over the
past years and we had much fun on and off the track. I don't think
there is anyone even close dedicated to this community as Seby, I know
he puts much time and hard work to make this all happen and still
remains very competitive and wants to win all the time. (next year with
2 pedals and better pc he's looking to be unbeatable).
I want to thank Dolz for letting me riding for his team, this was my
best season ever and a solid and a good team behind a rider is a good
base success. With me winning the championship, Dolz winning the class
A championship and Bradders becoming the class A Vice-Champion shows
how well the team preformed this year. I'm very proud of both my team
m8's Dolz and Bradders. they were a solid force this year and improved
all season long........next season I expect them to take it to the next
level and fight for top 5 results.
I want to thank all the riders who took part in the races and I'm sure
we can do it better for the next year."
Vouks Arkos
Connection (3rd, 16:47.004):
"BIG THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! too all who run this super champ
Seby, Dolz, Yvos, SFW, Atman, the guys who make tracks, physics and all
stuff and after that we can have big fights and of course FUN.
After that i have to say big GG to SFW for champ, also to Dolz for his
A-Class champ and of course to all champs from this year.
Seby and Guishermo also well done for runner up and 3th place in this
very hard champ.
Now about Arkos looks that we have lost almost all except our fun. Sure
is that we did not train as much we did in 2007 and we pay it hard.
Damn i almost forget to say Thx to Yvos for leting Dolz in front off
him, well done m8, our plan worked perfectly....
After that joke we have to say that we are proud about Yvos 3th place
in A-Class, well done team-m8, now Arkos can celebrate for something...
See you all in 2009!"
Skider Oasics
NoGrip Racing (4th, 16:53.891):
"First of all, congratulations to the World Champion SFW!! for his
awesome performance this season, just unbeatable. GG to Seby and
Guishermo for podium positions.
About Valencia race: GG to Seby for the race and podium guys. I didn't
make practice for this race, just only few laps before the official
race and I could do good times. The race started and Seby took the lead
while SFW was right behind him, I chose soft-med tyres but I didn't
know how that tyres work during all the race, at the beginning I lost
some gap against Seby & SFW, after 2 or 3 laps SFW connection
crashed or something and left Seby go away in front, I could hold the
gap some laps but once the tyres began to wear, I made a mistake and
crashed in the last corner, pity because I think I could've get a
podium position.
About the season: Nothing much to say, I knew from the tests we did
last year that things would be much different than the 2 years ago, I
couldn't get feeling with the new physic and lost motivation, also some
personal things weren't good and all of this didn't help to play with
the same motivation than before. I could get some confidence with the
physic after winning at Laguna Seca but it was something punctual, too
many mistakes this season for me. I'm sorry for the team and Thunder, I
have to congratulate him for his performance all the season, he was
always there racing and getting points, thanks m8, he deserved much
more a win than me. I hope for a better season next year.
Cya everybody on 2009!"
fabbsan ZXRR
Stinger Team (5th, 16:57.184):
"Hi all!
BIG BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all the admins, guys, riders who makes
possible this champ.
This was my first champ online in my life and i was very impressed by
the level and the organization. I'm a little bit disappointed to
discover this champ so late. Anyway I'll be here for the next seasons
and i hope to get fun and fight i enjoyed this year.
GG to SFW for his title, to tops riders unbelievable fast and too much
for me, and to all the riders
See you soon!"
Guishermo
Lords Of Shadow (6th, 16:57.277):
"GG to Seby for the win in "his" track, to Vouks for the 3rd with
little practice in a very difficult track and to SFW for the second and
the champ (i couldn't congratulate you in Sepang), since i saw you in
Sachsenring doing that enormous race i knew that this year you were too
strong, i think very few people bet on you at the beginning of the
season but you have been spectacular this year, well done!
My race was frustrating, i had anti-coll bug at the start again and
lost ground to Vouks and Seby, i lost concentration and crashed again
few corners later... Since then i couldn't ride well, i was very very
slow because i didn't want to crash again and my race was a piece of
crap... At least i secured 3rd in the standings, but i wasn't happy
because of the anti-coll bug.
The year so far hasn't been to bad after the bad start (problems with
settings), but again i did to many mistakes.
See you in 2009!"
LuKe Dark
Racing Corporation (9th, 17:02.163):
"Big Congrats to Seby for winning the last GP in 2008, yeh you are
unbeatable here with your strong performance. Also GG to SFW and Vouks.
My last Race was very bad, i cant deal here with my med front and i had
no motivation on this track for practicing. In Qual i went fast with
softs but than in race i lost important time. After middle of the race
i overtook Gabi and few curves later i crash..... To BAD that i lost a
good position in overall standings with that result, but anyway, it was
a very good year for me, at the beginning of the season i never thought
that i can fight for podiums.
A very good season goes over with the champ SFW. Congrats to you, you
were to strong for the rest of the fighters
Bis thanks for all who make this great champ possible, it is very funny
to take part here, with all that good riders.
Congrats for Seby and Guish too, with your good performance you two
saved the World Champion Podium, for Dolz who saved the A-Class, for
Atman's B-Class title and for Joey who got the Academy!
See ya in 2009!"
Atman Asica
Racing Team (15th, 17:21.205):
"To Valencia race, was very hard for me due to my advantage after first
lap with Holy. Also I was tired from the whole season and its wonder
that I managed overtake Holy in last corner after I was the whole time
before him. Pity that Mircea cant rejoin to room...
To whole season, I am content, at last many people in my room, 6-9
riders with close range of power is really beautiful.
Mircea, JC, DNStouron, Spidey, catutza, Blejz, Holy it was pleasure for
me ride with you in official races.
Pity that some slower riders as Pequinho, CBR and Delen retired from
this champ and I am unhappy because Fonnia cant take part in our races
due to his working hours...
Thanks to admins of this champ for all other stuff, was ok (bikeset,
results, tracks, rules etc)."
SPIDEY VJ
Racing (17th, 17:33.972):
"What do i say? First introduction into multiplayer racing, my first
season in any form of racing (multiplayer - although not complete
participation, but complete participation since i found this game and
website/championship), and my first bike racing since a good few years
back (racing in SBK2000/2001).
I would like to start my speech thanking a lot of people whom i can
remember at the moment (and sorry to the others whom i do not mention
as i have not really thought much into my speech). Firstly id like to
thank all the admins Seby, Yvos, Atman especially for holding race
sessions for me. Seby in particular for maintaining this awesome
website. Atman of course brings a smile to my face for we have had gr8
gr8 races this season and i am looking forward to upcoming races.
Secondly i would like to thank DanDam, for being such a good friend to
discuss pretty much anything. He helped me learn how to race. So a big
big thanks to you. Thanks to Joey for all your help too. Also id like
to Congratulate Motogp500Online on such a wonderful and successful year
of racing. Very exciting battles for the championship in all classes
meant there was always nail biting finishes and i Congratulate 2008
world champion SFW for his success.
As for the races this year, they turned out to be quite good, but i
look forward to personal improvement, especially in terms of race pace,
by trying to make fewer mistakes thus having more consistent
performances.
As for my team, i wonder if anyone really wondered what VJ stood for.
VJ are the first letters of my girlfriend's and my name. Well going by
the amount of inspiration she has given me during this season, i must
say I'll try to make a special livery for her next time round. A big
thank you to Honda for providing me with a good bike for all the races.
I would also like to thank my Sponsor Saskpower for showing faith in me.
Thanks everyone!
Great battles,
Greats videos (to Atman),
Great new friends (to everyone),
And a good race (Valencia),
And GG to Seby for win,
And also Ty to Seby for WSS Proposal."
darkJr Dark
Racing Junior (DNS):
"I wanna thank to all Dark Racing riders... they did an awesome work
3rd place in teams and top 10 in overall standings its great work! im
very sorry i disappeared from racing and didn't give 100% support to
the team. Lets see if i will go for an 2009 project.. my work time and
personal life its making me stay too off from the game and also the too
many tracks bugs makes me annoyed.. GG to all the Champions!"
