Round 2. Japan
: Motegi
SFW wins race number 2
from as many races this season. This time it was in Japan, at Motegi.
Vouks and Skider completed the podium while Seby crashed his bike but
managed to finish 8th.
Interviews:
SFW Yamaha England-Netherlands
(winner, 16:39.609):
"GG to Vouks and Skider for the podium finish and gg to Seby for the
silly crash and letting me win this race. I never thought it was going
to be this easy in the race, during the practice sessions Seby was the
man to beat and it was going to be very interesting race but
unfortunately Seby made a mistake and crashed. After the crash it took
me 2 laps to clear my mind and ride away from Vouks and Skider.
My team had a difficult weekend, Bradders had some technical PC
problems and wasn't able to race and both Dolz and GVG were a bit too
slow for a top 10 finish. Despite the difficulties we are still leading
the team standings and I think we can be proud of that."
Vouks MVM
Racing Team (2nd, 16:42.812):
"GG SFW, Creisi, Mircea and DanDam. Next i will say is that Seby was
very fast on this track even if we not train a lot but his crash let
him back. Champ starts to warm up and it seems that all rider have find
a real friend to fight. THATS RACING!
About MVM team Mgr lost a good opportunity to bring some good points
home, Tolis can do better, good that SK18 is back to help team. About
Max if i have news i let you all know.
See you all 37 and maybe more in Andalusia..."
fabbsan
Motonline Racing Team (5th, 16:45.866):
"GG SFW for win, very nice finish too.
GG too Vouks and Skider for podium.
GG Creisi for your good race too and GG Thunder (our total times are
very close).
My race was better than in Losail, my start was shit because i went in
the grass inside the first corner and i immediately lost contact with
front (and fast) riders. Anyway, i kept a good pace during the first 8
laps during which i stayed front of Skider, but i went too much outside
exit of a corner in the 8th lap, so Skider overtook me and i pushed too
hard in the last laps to try to catch him again and i made many
mistakes, i lost many time and i finished behind him.
I'm happy about my final result but i know i can do better, i'll try to
do it next races and i'll try to have a good pace all laps too because
it's the only way to make better result.
See you all in JEREZ!"
Seby Lords Of
Shadow (8th, 16:52.020):
"Congrats SFW for another win and Vouks and Skider for the podium. Also
very good races by Creisi, fabbsan and Thunder, good work. GG Gabi for
beating me 4.gif, also good race from Mircea, gg m8s. Also good races
for rezist and Erol, gg.
My race was crap, i had a good start but in the 2nd lap i crashed on
the brakes. It wasn't a big mistake, i didn't except to fall so i
couldn't save it in the last moment like usual. After that i didn't
push hard, i just did a safe race so i won't lose more points. Last 2
laps were a bit faster, i wanted the hot lap and i got it in the last
lap. 8th is pretty bad but i've learned few things from this race and
i'm sure i'll do better in the future. Since few months ago i started
braking with a pedal and i became quite fast but not as fast as i could
be with keyboard braking. Braking with a pedal makes the game feel
better and the bike moves more fluid but it's too dangerous on the
brakes. With keyboard this kind of falls don't happen so i'll change
back to braking with the keyboard and keep acceleration using a pedal.
After the official race i hosted sk18 and i did the race by braking
with the keyboard and i did a better total time than the winning time.
This came without practice so with hard practice i guess i can go much
faster than before, we'll see in the future. During the week i did many
sessions of practice and i was doing very well, i guess i could have
put up a good fight for the lead in this race but shit happens, i fell,
end of story. Next is Jerez and we'll see in practice how things will
go."
GVG Yamaha
England-Netherlands (12th, 16:57.680):
"First of all congratulations to SFW! Another victory! Well done. Also
GG to Vouks and Skider! And GG to Dandam. Great result. You are faster
then i am.
What a race that was! I had a great fight with Planas the whole race
long. We overtake many times. I thought i won at the end, but i turned
out that Planas was in front. To bad.
My pace was very consistent, but i believe i could have been faster. I
didn't practice much at all and was to careful. I absolutely didn't
want to make a mistake and i didn't but i was to focused on not making
one, that my speed was not so fast anymore. The whole race i was with
Planas and he had lag and that makes the riding more difficult. Also
like Seby said, racing official is more difficult then practice. I had
a lot of nerves. For next races, i want to control that.
I'm not happy with my 12th place, cause i wanted a better result then
Qatar, cause i like Motegi more. But for sure it was a better race then
Qatar. I enjoyed it a lot and that's very important. Despite i lose the
battle eventually with Planas i must be happy. I still lead the battle
for rookie of the year and i moved up to 9th in standings! The season
is long and anything can happen. I want to say thank you to SFW for the
good team spirit and also thank you to SPIDEY. We had a good
conversation about this champ and he made me realize that i'm doing a
great job. Next we go to Jerez. Not a favorite circuit at all for me.
But i will do the best i can and hope for good result."
rezist Rezist
Racing Yamaha (16th, 17:01.184):
"16th!! that can't be right! lol
There must have been a few crashes in front of me, and i was only 0.155
from Dolz! so i could easily have finished 14th if i had tried a little
bit harder lol! amazing!
Once again i did less than 10 laps practice, and before the race i got
a new setup which i had never tried before... so i did qualifying on
the race setup (hence i was 23rd on the grid) but got more used to it
the more laps i did.
But still, i've probably spent more time on this track than anyone
else, afterall i did convert the track model and spent a month or so
working on improving it so i know this track pretty well...especially
that stupid left-hairpin with the big bump in the middle of it. lol
Well done to SFW, Vouks and Skider!
Now if i can repeat this kind of result at Jerez i will be very happy."
Erol
Animersion Team Spain (19th, 17:11.256):
"Yeah! I'm really happy, first points of the Champ for me, that's
amazing!
Thank you very much guys, there was a very clean race, obviously I
wanted more, but for been the second race that I took place... very
nice result.
See ya in Jerez, my home, where I'll be more strong!"
