Round 2. Japan
: Motegi
Seby takes his first victory of the
season and the lead in the standings at Motegi, in Japan. fabbsan and
Vouks completed the podium. Seby is 5p in front of SFW.
Interviews:
Seby Lords Of Shadow
(winner, 16:23.724):
"Congratulations fabbsan and Vouks for podium finishes. Also GG Mgr for
4th. And also sorry fab and mgr for taking your results in the last
minute, Vouks can explain lol.
Also big GG to Holy for 8th (victory in future class A) and rezist for
9th.
There were some problems this round too, not as big as at Losail tho.
In the 2nd room spanky and mari had problems at the start because of
lag etc so there was some time given back for them. Also snikolaus and
Blejz had problems, the laps didn't count for them so i had to make the
results from the replay.
Practice went well for me, we had similar lap times and total times in
practice. And by we, i mean me, fab and V. fab was a bit better than me
and i was a bit faster than V but in general the laps were very similar
and the fights were amazing. The practice was one of the best ever,
some very close fights at high speeds and lap times. I hope also at
Jerez we can have fun like at Motegi, tho Jerez is an old track and a
bit boring after so many years. Motegi on the other hand is a track
which isn't boring, at least not for me and is one of the few tracks i
like.
The official race came, i was a bit upset after qualifying because i
couldn't do my best, the lap times were simply slower than usual, my pb
was 37.285 and it seemed i could do similar in all quals until the
official one. In practice fabbsan used to beat me sometimes because he
had very good starts, he was fast in the first 2-3 laps while i was
slower at the start but stronger after the middle of the race. In
official i could do a good start and i was very optimistic, i was
leading the race from the first lap but i started doing small mistakes
after few laps so Vouks came close to me. We had a small fight at mid
race and in one of the corners he hit me and i went again to grass,
same as at Losail. I was very upset when it happened at Losail but this
time i couldn't stop laughing when it happened lol. During so many
years it almost never happened to me and now 2 times in 2 races WTF lol.
I watched them fight it out and i was very happy that fabbsan could
catch Vouks and beat him till the end of the race. fabbsan and Mgr (who
was 3rd in the room) were very happy so for that reason i'm sorry it
happened this way, for me to have to race again because of collision. I
think Mgr did a great race, specially for holding off SFW in the last
laps, i think he deserved the podium, maybe a bit more luck next time,
also for me to not get hit again. My second race was easy, i knew there
were some big fights in the first room and time was lost there. I just
kept calm and did safe laps, maybe pushed sometimes but a little. Total
times were 16:23 for me and 16:24 for fab while in practice we both did
16:21 and 37.4 hot lap, so officials were slower. If at Losail i was
unlucky, i should have finished 2nd in that race, now maybe it was with
a bit of luck, it was an easy win in the 2nd race. Weird because i've
always been fast at Motegi but this is my first podium in the dry here.
I have a victory but it was in a wet race. In 2 other races i crashed
while fighting for the victory and in one i made mistakes and couldn't
catch the podium. First podium in 4 races in the dry, one of the worst
tracks in terms of results and weird because i like the track.
I'm also very happy with fabbsan taking 2nd and this way Lords Of
Shadow are first again in the standings, it's the first time since
Sachsenring 2007 (me and Down) when 2 members of the same team are 1st
and 2nd in a race so i'm very happy, maybe next time fabbsan will be
1st and me 2nd, i really hope he can get that much deserved victory. Me
and fab were 1st and 2nd last year at Catalunya but we weren't in the
same team.
It's also the first time i lead the standings so early in the season,
in 2007 after 10 races, in 2008 after 6 races and in 2009 after 7
races. Now after 2 races, which is a surprise to me too but a nice one,
it satisfies me. Now i have to wait and see if i can also keep it.
I also really hope fabbsan will be up there in all races, i wish we
will fight like in WSS for the title and be 1st and 2nd in the
standings at the end of the year, maybe for him to win it this time.
After his improvement from last year and how strong he was in WSS, i'm
sure he can do the same in MGP. Maybe in the future it will be a
legendary fight, like we've seen with Senna-Prost or Rossi-Lorenzo.
Next is Jerez, so have fun and see you on track.
About the hamachi rooms, no point to make new ones all the time because
sooner or later for sure i (or others) will install windows again and
it will be the same situation again."
fabbsan Lords
Of Shadow (2nd, 16:24.888):
"First, i want to say sorry to everyone because i know my internet
connection problem has disturbed some of you! I stop and go on the
track and i know it's bad because i get the same problem with all of
you, then if my crap lag was bad for you it was also for me, 1 more
time sorry.
About the race, GG to my team mate Seby cos he won even if i could won
myself but i went on the grass in the 1st corner on the first 2 laps,
and this cost me the win for sure. Damn slipstream on the brakes behind
Vouks, i still have many difficulties to manage it during the races,
it'll be better i hope.
What a top riders room it was, 8 strong competitors here, the best room
we can dream for, fun and strong online racing, thx all.
Anyway it was a great race, i'm 2nd, i did the pole and i had a good
fight with Vouks who did a strong race too, GG m8.
Also GG to Mgr who could catch SFW, it was a bad race for the NoGrip
Racing Legends riders and i hope it'll be same in the following races
lol.
Also GG to all the riders who rode hard and did their best, 31 riders
isn't so bad for the championship. See you all at Jerez."
Vouks Greece
Racing Team (3rd, 16:26.564):
"Congratulations Mgr, next time will be a podium!!! Max welcome back
with a good result for a rider who did not train... and please stay
here m8.
Congratulations of course to Seby for the win and fab for 2nd place. As
Seby say first room was not soooo fast but for sure was fun. I watched
the replay 2-3 times and i love it even if the worst rider in the room
(me) was in front for a while. Also for me a hit from fab but didn't
lose much time and from my view a podium for me with the way i ride
this time is almost i can say lucky.
The changes in our 2 Greek teams are looking good and will be better
race by race!!!
Championship looking to go hot and fun for all riders and for that i
will THX Seby!!! and all admins.
See you all in JEREZ..."
Mgr Greece
Racing Team (4th, 16:27.804):
"The second race of the year is over.
Congrats to SEBY, FABBSAN and VOUKS, these 3 riders are very very FAST.
I am very happy with my result, Motegi is one of my bad tracks.
I see this championship is very strong and hope to improve myself a
little so i am in competition and help my TEAM!!!
Welcome MAX, congrats for your result for the first race after long
time....
Very good ARCH. Mooooorrreeeee practice and you will be super.
Wolf disappointment, you need work.
SK18 drive more cool and concentrated in the race m8.
SEE YOU ALL TO JEREZ!!!"
rezist Rezist
Racing (9th, 16:42.357):
"Well, 9th! for the 4th time in my career in MotoGP500, and again soooo
close to getting my best result ever, only 0.357 away.
I was really happy with my race at the end, in practice i had some
trouble with doing consistent lap times... but in the race i did about
6 or 7 laps in the 1:39 bracket, and no big mistakes so it was a good
surprise for me after i crashed in the last race.
Now all i want for this season is to finish 8th or better in a race!!!
Well done to Seby for a champion's performance, and fabbsan & Vouks
to share the champagne."
DanDam Team
Sask Suzuki (15th, 16:52.743):
"My race on the track of Motegi was a bit confused. I can't really say
I am satisfied of myself but nor completely disappointed.
I crashed on the second lap, while i was in front. I had a good start
but I felt too nervous and tired to keep a good pace, so I used to
brake everywhere too early. The consequence was that my lap times were
1 second slower than usual and, in the end, i fell on the brakes.
I was sure i was going to crash this time, because i was very tired. I
had spent all the afternoon editing a video for my work and I
approached the official race without any good feeling. I know, this
sounds like an excuse, but it's the truth.
However the crash woke me up a bit, and in the next lap i did 1.39.180.
I had nothing to lose and I started riding as fast as I could. I was
sometimes wide, but seeing all the riders in front of me getting closer
and closer, motivated me a lot.
According to the game i was fifth and, according to my point of view,
the four opponents in front of me were all close to each others. For me
they were 4 vanishing bikes that flickered a lot. When i finally
reached the group I thought : "oh my God, where really are the other
bikes?" I saw three bikes moving randomly around me.
One bike (Arch?) went wide, but the other two continued to fight. Then
I took courage and I started fighting together with them. I finally was
able to stay in front of one of that bike (Franky?) but the last one
was the hardest to beat. I was sure he was Snikolaus (in fact that bike
was the most flickering) and i struggled a lot with him. On the final
lap I did a good lap time but, according to me, he crossed the finish
line before I did.
I was really surprised when, analyzing the final results, I was 3rd and
10 seconds behind holy, 7 seconds behind Mircea and several seconds in
front of Snikolaus. So, according to the game, I had done most of the
race alone.... and I thought i was really tired.
I am sure Seby will clearify everything.
I am very disappointed thinking about my pace in comparison with that
of the top riders.
All the riders belonging to the "middle class" were incredibly far from
the top riders, though Motegi was not a very long track. I think it's
due to the high number of slow turns. Top riders have, first of all, a
higher traction than the other players, so a track like Motegi where,
when you leave most of the turns, you start accelerating from very low
speeds had helped the top riders for being so fast.
Anyway my race was very funny, even if the game will say that all the
fights I had were a consequence of my imagination."
sk18 Greece
Academy Team (21st, 17:06.467):
"HI TO ALL RIDERS....
MOTEGI has passed and i want to say... BRAVO SEBY for the win!
GG FABBSAN and VOUKS for second and third place!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to MGR for that very good race, I think podium is near.
Bravo HOLY for win the Class A, gg to REZIST and MIRCEA.
I want to welcome MAX he is a strong player!!!!!!
My race was a big disappointment for me I think it must be very better.
I did a great time in qualify but in race in first lap my wheel
betrayed never turn so i crashed, i was in second place with DanDam in
front... after that i lost my coolness and made more mistakes!!!
The race was gone and the chance to take points also.
Anyway i must see the bright side and this year i have improvement
myself very much so go to next race!!!!!
I want to say BRAVO to my team mates for trying and a big BRAVO to ARCH
for that good result GG ARCH (aaaaazzzzz).
Thank you MGR for all the help he gives me with setups and watch him
playing.
Thanks SEBY and admins for the great work to have so good and organized
championship.
GG To all riders take part and have great times with this game.
SEE YOU ALL IN JEREZ......
(When i grow up i want to be MGR.... LOL)."
Pity Source
Team (23rd, 17:15.003):
"Perfect race, not perfect result.
What can I say? In Qatar, i was only 1 position behind the points, in
Motegi, again 3 positions, summary, so far 0 points for Source Team.
But anyway, the race in Motegi 2010 was the best in my carrier in WCH.
I was second in QP, behind Seby, so I was the best rider from my group.
I had a good start, I was 2nd, during the first laps, I was fighting
about the 1st position, and I also took the 1st position, but, Atman
was faster then me and he passed me and he took the lead. After that, I
was fighting with Kike, but during the fight I had a collision with him
and my bike was jumping out of the road, but i lost only 2-3 seconds I
think. And because I lost some seconds, my team-mate Paul passed me and
I was 4th. So I started to race again, with Paul I had a good fight,
but he did a mistake so it was easy for me passed him, and I try to
catch Kike, and final 3 laps were perfect, because we were fighting
side by side every lap, in the final lap, I was better then him and I
passed him in the final lap and I was 2nd in finish behind Atman.
Really perfect racing, all race was perfect, but summary, 23rd
position, no points, but the feeling from race is good. And Atman is
22nd, so also without collision with Kike when I lost some seconds,
also no points because maybe I could win the race with the group, but
after summary all results, it could be again 22nd position, like Atman
has. I try to take first points in Jerez. Also congratulations to my
team-mate Paul, he raced for first time in WCH MotoGP racing, he was
good, his laps were similar to my laps. He has potential and hopefully
that we will fight many times like in Motegi. It means, Source Team has
2 GOOD riders, big chance to take some points on the beginning of
season, hehe.
Congratulation to other Czech riders Blejz, Mari, Holy, they are much
better than me, and I hope, that i will be good like Mari. He has
faster about one second from me."
Paul Source
Team (26th, 17:20.697):
"Oooww what a race, my first Motogp500online race...
I was nervous... but Seby said to me to think it's like a practice race
so i did...
The start was great for me, i was 4th after the first corners... i
could follow my team mate Pity similar laps, i pasted him when he made
a mistake.. and i concentrated on Kike...it wasn't easy to ride with
him, but after few laps i pasted him, but i make a mistake and i lost
my 2nd & 3rd place.... the last 3 laps were terrible.
I made many mistakes and i wasn't concentrated anymore. I saw Pity and
Kike ride away because of the many mistakes.
But my first experience of the race, i enjoyed... i'm looking forward
to the next races, seee yaaaall at Jerez.
Where i hopefully have a great fight again with Pity."
Serch Malboro Ducati
(27th, 17:24.230):
"It was a quite good race for me aswell, i had a good start, first 5
corners where good, but then i started making silly mistakes, missing
brake points and so on so i took couple of corners wide and i thought
it was over but then somewhere in the middle of race i started
switching places with wolf, he took me over 4 laps till the end and
kept his pace which was similar to mine so i had to push as hard as i
could, braking late and trying to find even more corner speed. I was
able to close the gap from around 4 seconds to 2.2, finally on the last
lap wolf made a mistake when braking late into turn 8 he run wide into
the gravel and i was able to take him over.
I felt really good because i didn't make too many mistakes, besides
first lap and i had a good rhythm. Hopefully i will be able to do
better in next races and catch my first points in the championship.
Thanks to Seby for all the effort and to all of you for a good race and
all the help with ghost files and tips how to ride even faster, thanks."
