Round 3 : Jerez
fabbsan takes
his first ever MotoGP victory tonight at Jerez after a very good
performance. Seby and Vouks completed the podium in the first European
race.

"How can i not be happy when i've finally got my 1st victory in this
high level champ, and i'm so happy.
Almost 2 years now i do online races and it was a long way of work to
get the pace and the consistency, then don't give up all riders it'll
come for you.
I never thought i could win here cos i wasn't fast enough and i hate so
much this track, but everything can happen in race, other riders did
mistakes and like in real life, we sometimes need luck too. The first 3
laps of the race were difficult, Luke disturbed all of us, he was
leading, Seby was 2nd and me 3rd but in the 2nd lap Seby went on the
grass, i immediately thought i've got an opportunity, maybe, to win.
Then i tried to catch Luke but it was difficult to overtake him, he was
very fast (or i was very slow), i finally passed him at the end of the
3rd lap when he did a mistake. At this time i told myself to ride as
best as you can and go away, i did it while Seby and Luke were fighting
for 2nd. I could increase my gap with them to near 1.5s. After Luke's
crash, Seby came back on me and was almost in my ass at the end of the
race at less than 0.5s, i really thought it was finished, i kept my
concentration, Seby did some little mistakes and i could cross the line
first YESSSSSSS!
I was happy but SFW had to race again, then i've prayed he doesn't take
my victory sorry m8, that's the truth hehe.
Anyway, my race wasn't perfect, i did many small mistakes in all laps,
brake too late, touch inside ripple or grass, but eve1 did mistakes and
this day...... it was my day, i hope i can win again cos this is the
only thing i want.
GG to Seby for sure, my team8, for your 2nd, i remember you told me my
total time wasn't enough to win but finally it was.
GG to Vouks on the podium again GG to Mgr and Luke for their strong
race and to DanDam for his good result.
Sorry for SFW for his connection problem cos i know it's so crap and we
feel so bad of it.

"Congratulations fabbsan! i know you've waited a long time for it and
for sure you deserved it, enjoy it m8!
Also gg to Vouks for podium and also to Mgr for keeping close to the
top riders, very soon the podium will come.
My practice was pretty good, i did the most practice races at Jerez
since the season started. It's always great to practice online with
rivals, close racing at the limit is what makes us continue. In
practice SFW didn't play much with us but when he did, he was by far
the fastest. That's what made me practice even more and even harder.
Few days before official i finally got the pace i wanted and i thought
i could at least put in a good fight with SFW for the victory. The rest
of the riders were fast but a bit behind us. Official race came and SFW
had the bad luck i had in the first 2 rounds and he got hit in the 2nd
corner, i'm still not sure who's fault it was but in case it was mine,
i'm sorry. Race continued and i didn't have a very good first lap, only
35.3 or so when in practice i usually did 34.5. In the second lap, in
the first corner i forgot to brake in time and went to grass, lost
around 1.5 sec there and i was last in the room. I started closing the
gap as soon as possible and i could pass Skider, Vouks and Mgr. Then it
was Luke in my way, while fab was leading. With Luke i had a long fight
and we also hit at one moment and that made me even more angry and
couldn't concentrate. I pushed over the limit trying to pass Luke and
catch fab that i started doing small mistakes. Jerez isn't a track
where we need to push very hard to go fast, on a track like Jerez we
need smooth riding and to stay calm because the moment we push a bit
more than usual, we make mistakes. So instead of staying calm and doing
low 31s, i was pushing too hard and was doing high 31s. After few laps
i could manage to pass Luke and after that he crashed. Then i had
fabbsan in front of me and there was plenty of time to try to catch
him, 6 more laps. Again i couldn't stay calm and do my thing, i was in
a rush and because of that i did even more mistakes so the gap between
us increased to 1.5 sec. With 3 laps to go i decided to try even harder
lol, it was my last chance. In that lap i did 31.1 and i couldn't
believe it myself, was pb with race tyres so after all the crap i did
in the race till then, then i was also surprised and even more
stressed. I was right behind fab with almost 2 laps to go but now
looking back i realize that i was already beaten, i gave too much in
that race, with all the mistakes and the comeback. When i saw myself
right behind fab i was scared not to crash or to make big mistakes so i
got even more stressed and the result was obvious, another mistake in
the penultimate corner and the gap again increased. I realized then it
would finally be smart to stay calm and take home the points so i did a
safe last lap and fab could take his first victory, a well deserved
victory considering how many mistakes i did. I did 16:55 in official
while in practice i did 16:50 and without mistakes i could have gone
even faster.
Considering how many mistakes i did, i have to say that 2nd place is
good and so far i don't mind losing to fabbsan because he is at the
beginning when it comes to MGP wins. It's also good for the team
another 1-2, better than to try for an undeserved victory and crash,
would have been bad for the team and also for me. This way we are 1st
and 2nd in the last 2 races and also in the standings, which is much
more than i could have asked for or even hoped at the start of the
season.
I think the most unlucky rider was SFW this time, by far. I know shit
happens sometimes but this time was huge bad luck for him because he
could have won this race easily. Not only he got hit in the 1st race
but he also lost connection few times after that. When he finally
finished a race it was over 1am and i guess he was as tired as we were
so he didn't push hard, he did some mistakes and cruised around to get
few points from this round. Plus he had a 5 sec penalty for racing
alone, same as Guishermo. If he would have finished the 2nd race, the
one after he got hit, i guess he would have won it because it would
have been without penalty, but connection problems made him lose this
race so we all hope to have a great race together next time, it would
be for the first time this season because so far there were problems in
all races.

"My race started badly... i braked a bit too early for the first turn,
so i lost some positions, then i was close to Franky, but the lag was
very bad and i couldn't concentrate lol, so i fell behind...
For the rest of the race i was trying to catch up again, and i made it
with 2 laps to go
this was a nice fun race, except for the lag, and im happy with 11th.

Only one thing, i think, in my race Seby told to me that this race was
official for me, Erol, rezist and SFW. And rezist ended just behind of
me. And the standings said rezist 11 and me 12. it isn't important but
it isn't real. There was a big battle and the most important for me was
the fun, not the points for the champ."

Good place for MGR and i think he make one of hes worst races as i saw
the replay (No good lines and mistakes for him) so GG MGR.
SUPER race for DANDAM, he was very very fast GG M8.
My race was good i did some mistakes but i am happy with my
performance. In the first 2 laps fight with 4-5 riders and then i was
in third place, Dandam went away and BLEITZ second +2.500 from me.
Four laps i push a little and closing on BLEJZ, then he made a mistakes
and went to grass overtaking him and taking +4.500 advantage and so i
took second place behind DAN!!! BRAVO BLEJZ for that nice race i had
with you, thanks for the battle.
I think ARCHFRANK can do it better (slow no error M8) hahahahah

"It was another good race this year. In first lap, I was careful, but I
overtook many riders, and I was about 7th - 8th. During the race, some
riders crashed, and it was advantage for me, but, I was fighting with
Kike like in Motegi. Nice fight. When I passed Kike, I just rode really
fast and without mistakes. So, I finished the race in 8th position, and
finnaly, again 23th without points. But I think, my first points will
come very soon.
Le Mans is a much better track for me than Jerez! We will see. Also
good race for my new team-mate Paul from Netherlands. In QP he was
better than me."
Statistics:
Seby is leading the
Rider Standings by 5 points to fabbsan who moved into 2nd position
after the victory at Jerez.
Vouks is 3rd, 9 points behind Seby with SFW 4th at 15 points
behind and Greek surprise Mgr 5th, 26 points behind.
Lords Of Shadow are leading the Team Standings thanks to another
1-2 from the lethal pair fabbsan and Seby. They lead by 43 points
NoGrip Racing Legends and by 44 points the Greeks.
Yamaha is leading
the Constructors Standings after fabbsan's
victory and SFW's only 6th place. All top 5 riders had Yamaha machinery
so they lead by 24 points Suzuki and 49p Ducati.
Join us in 2 weeks time for the fourth race of the season at Le Mans,
in France.
