Round 7 : Assen
Seby took his 2nd victory of the
season and also the standings lead tonight at Assen. SFW came close
behind in 2nd and fabbsan completed the podium. Vouks was only 4th so
he lost the standings lead and now stands 2 points behind Seby.

"Congratulations to the rest of the podium SFW and fabbsan.
Big GG to SFW for his race, he was better than me this time and should
have deserved the victory but we touched in the last lap and he lost
the race because of it. Similar to Estoril last year when i got hit and
lost the race, now we are even.
I was lucky to take victory this time because of that hit in the last
lap. In practice i was strong enough to win but in official i couldn't
do the same lap times as in practice, i was around 0.2 slower per lap
and 2 sec in total time. The start of the race was pretty good,
specially the 2nd lap when i did 30.0 while all the rest of the riders
did 30.8 - 30.9 so i had a pretty good lead, after 3 laps i had 1.4 sec
lead. Then SFW started catching up and with 2-3 laps to go till the end
we had a nice fight and in the chicane before the last lap he passed me
but i came back strong and we were side by side in the middle of the
lap and we hit, i jumped a bit but didn't lose much time, i came back
again but unfortunately SFW got hit few corners later and the race was
over, i was the lucky one.
I didn't expect SFW to be this fast, well in lap times i knew he was
good but i didn't see any consistency from him in practice so i was
expecting him to fight for 3rd with fab and Mgr. Before the race i was
thinking that Vouks would take the lead in the first few laps and had
to recover and fight at the middle of the race, same as in practice. I
thought it would be easier for me in this race and if it wasn't for
SFW's very good comeback, i guess it would have been an easy race for
me. I don't know why Vouks wasn't as good as in practice because this
model of Assen has always been his track, even if i have the best
results here from all the riders (3 wins and 3 2nd places in 7 races).
Looking at Assen standings from last year i feel better because last
year i also had 2 wins and 6 podiums from the first 7 races, now i have
11 points less which is not too bad, considering last year went much
better after Assen. Now i have to try and repeat what i did last year
and maybe with a bit of luck i'll be stronger till the end of the year.

I never thought i could finished 3rd here because i hadn't consistency
and i don't really like so much this track.
Anyway, my start was good but at the end of the 1st lap i was 4th, when
i saw Seby, SFW and Vouks in front of me, i thought it was impossible
to fight for podium because they were faster than me, but everything
can happen in a race, i came back on Vouks after he slowed down i
think, and after a fight i could get and keep the 3rd place."

This time, i didn't practice much because of exams and didn't hope
anything for the Race. In the second corner i run off and lost
important time because my lap times were not so bad, i think without
that 2 mistakes i could fight for Podium with Vouks and fabbsan,
anyway, without mistakes is always easy to say, but not easy to convert.
Now im very hot for Catalunya and hope for a good result."

Bad luck for Vouks who missed the podium for the first time, and the
championship lead... hopefully you can return at Catalunya.
I had no time for practice until Sunday, but even then i was slow...i
don't really like this track, especially the corner exits, like at
Silverstone its difficult to judge where the edge of the track is lol.
My race was ok, i went consistently with high 1:32- low 1:33 laps...but
on the last lap i touched the grass and got dragged off the track lol.
So the last lap was 1:37...which has probably cost me 2 positions (and
2 points), but anyway im just glad that i did the race lol.
Now back to some real circuits!!!"

"It was really boring race, to race only alone, i did a good start, no
mistake and finish the race. Thats all. I am happy for some points.
That's a pity, that I didn't faster about 0,5 sec, I could have been

teams fighting for supremacy.
