Round 9 : Sachsenring
SFW took
his 3rd victory of the season at Sachsenring to close the gap to Seby
to 13 points. Seby himself came in 2nd place and fabbsan completed the
podium.

"Congratulations SFW for this good victory on a track you don't like,
these wins are the most important. Also congrats to fab for podium and
Luke for 4th, very close to podium on ur home track. Also Guish had a
good race until the last lap when he lost 6 sec, without that mistake
it could have been the first podium of the season, gg anyway. Also
first points in the championship for Serch so gg to you too.
I started the practice right after Catalunya because i had a 8 days
vacation planned for this middle of the summer break. I did most of the
laps with fabbsan and we were both very fast. I actually was faster
before i left for vacation than when i came back. I was doing low-mid
17s in the race and 17:50 - 17:52 total time. I was very confident
about this race, i wanted to win and i was sure i could have done it.
Then i left for vacation, when i came back i was 0.5 slower per lap and
had many crashes in practice. In vacation i went to bed much earlier
than when i usually go to sleep so when i came back i was always sleepy
at the hours when we practice online. Also couldn't keep the old setup,
i was too slow with it. Had to the setup work all over again and till
race day i did find a good one to be competitive. I was doing 17:51 -
17:52 and 17.2 hot lap but on race day i ate something bad and it
started with a headache and stomach pain later, couldn't sleep at all
that night and vomited etc, during the race it wasn't that bad but i
couldn't concentrate and the head hurt pretty bad. I had a small fight
with SFW in the first laps but had no power/energy to push harder, we
had a small hit (i'm getting used to this shit) and after that no
chance to recover, the gap wasn't big but i felt like a zombie lol,
just had to finish the race, i could barely keep my eyes open. Race was
over, good safe 2nd place, considering the circumstances, 2nd i think
it's a decent result. Well it could have been a victory if it wasn't
for this crap, or at least a fight for it. Now time to look forward to
Laguna and try to take my revenge there, i hope i'll be in a good
shape, at least to fight for it.

"Well i crashed twice....and still finished 11th! damn, I could've
maybe got 8th (PB) if i didn't crash.
But there seems to be less riders here after the break...hopefully
there's more next time...

I sort of forgot which weekend this race was, so i did no practice at
all, again....but for Laguna i'm already training...bring it on!"

Ducati (19th, 19:24.111):
"I had lots of fun during the race, after my fastest qualifying lap was
1.32. During the race i did improve quite a lot doing couple of 1:25
but from the start i was pretty lucky, i got the best start and i was
even leading in the first corner, after that almost all the riders
overtook me as i was trying not to crash. In the 2nd or 3rd lap i saw
two or three people crashing and i was able to stay in front of them
for at least a couple of seconds. Eventually they all did take me over
but the most unlucky person during this day, Spankymat crashed again
and i was able to take him over, again! On the second to last lap
Spanky closed the gap to me and was right after me on the last corner,
he had to make some mistake as on the next intermediate i had over 10
seconds on him.
Pretty much good race and if i had more practice (i had none) i would
have been even faster, it's a nice track, you just have to keep the
momentum and corner speed up all the time."

"Congratulations to SFW for a very good race (i just saw the replay)
and of course to both Lords for podium. LuKe m8 you were close to the
podium so also gg because this is a very hard (crap) track. About me...
no internet at home last few days and the only way to race was to go to
Mgr's house. So Mgr was at my home and the plan was to go together to
his home and do the race from there but there was a problem finally and
we lost the race (why are we in the results????).
That's for now and hope to see you all (and more) in the next race."
Statistics:
Seby still leads the
Rider
Standings by 13 points to SFW after Dutch Devil's victory. fabbsan came
in 3rd and also dropped to 3rd in the standings, 7 points behind SFW.
Vouks is 4th but has dropped back from the title fight after his 2nd
DNF race, 57 points behind Seby. LuKe is 5th, 13 points behind Vouks
and 70 points behind Seby.
Lords Of Shadow are leading the Team Standings from Greece Racing Team
by 79 points and by 88 points the NoGrip Racing
Legends team. These are the only 3
teams fighting for supremacy.
Yamaha is leading
the Constructors Standings by 51 points to Suzuki and 171 points to
Ducati.
