News  19/02/06  Round 7: Clermont Ferrand

Skider has won the 7th round of the WSS at Clermont Ferrand to regain the standings lead.

The Spanish rider SkiDer had a tough race against arch-rival SFW. The Honda rider, who started from third place, took the lead after an intense fight against Pole Position man SFW in the opening laps of the race. SFW took the lead by mid-race, but SkiDer counter-attacked with five laps to go although it always appeared that the final result would be decided in the last couple of laps. SFW had a great fight against SkiDer to overtake him in 6th lap but Spanish rider
made his move on the penultimate lap and quickly escaped to win a thrilling race to the delight of the 122.519 spectators and now has 3 wins and 5 podiums from 7 starts.
Motostore was also powerless to prevent SkiDer to take the win, settling for third place.
The fight for positions further down the field became more intense with the extra available points inspiring Vouks to fourth place after a long battle with JC.
Max eventually got the better of Gaz&Slide to take sixth whilst SunAndBike, Yvos and Seby completed the top ten.

"Hi all! I'm very happy for this victory, the bike worked very well. I did very good training during the week and this is the final result, but also in practice I had grass excursions and falls for the ravine.
I did a good race without big mistakes, I made good start, good first lap, 2 laps in 3:08.half and final lap in 3:09.2. Soft-soft tyres here was the best solution for the race, then, in this track is very very easy make a mistake because the width of the road is very thin.
Congratulations to SFW and Motostore for their podium. BIG BIG congrats to JC, I did some practice with him and he ride very good with kawa.
Finally, we see at Bathurst after this mountain adventure!
Thanks Seby for host me. Cya" said race winner SkiDer.

"GG Skider congratulation m8!
I had a good race here and enjoyed very much racing at this real road track.
I had a good start and was able to pick up the speed straight away, on 3rd lap i had a huge scary moment but lucky me i didn't crash.
Also very good race from Motostore and JC (maybe we should check if JC use the 636cc engine).
btw, i've heard that Dolz* has spend more time in the woods then on track, m8 did you bring home the deer you shot down or did you have to fight the bear for it? cya all next race" said second man today, SFW.

"Good job Messrs! Super course pour moi aussi, j’ai fait une petite erreurs qui ma coûter tout au plus 1sec mais je m’en sort plutôt bien et je suis ravi de pouvoir monter a nouveau sur le podium.
Félicitation spécial a JC qui réaliser une belle performance.
Thanks at Seby for hosting!" said third man today, Motostore.

"It was a very funny race, i was rolling on the floor laughing my ass off when i saw Dolz jumping all over the place, fall heaven muahahhah.
I also fell 2 or 3 times so we both were shit in this race, but at least we had some fun.
The battle for first place in the standings is very tight, one win for SFW, the next for SkiDer and so on. This time it was SkiDer's time to win, they both have 3 wins and 5 podiums. Also Motostore is right behind them so the fight for positions is even more cool to watch (only watch for now). GG guys, cant wait to see who wins the next one, great fight, thanks." said Seby after the race.

"hehe thx Seby i'm very happy for my result 5ème WHaaouuuu! it's as a victory for me with kawasaki (who is a good bike) so very good race in qualif i do 3.12 personal record and in race I was good (à donf dans la bulle !!!!)
BIG Bravo for Skider, SFW and Motostore very very good race m8s.
see you on Bathurst an other difficult track" said JC after the race.

In the championship standings SkiDer took the lead with 174 points after he won on Sunday,  SFW stands just five points behind the Spanish rider. Third is Motostore with 144 points and fourth stands Seby with 116.
Vouks moved up to 5th with 97 points, Max lies 6th with 96 points and Gaz&Slide is 7th with 86.
Maxou, Dolz and Yvos complete the top ten with 83, 81 and 75 points.
