  News  28/02/06  Round 8: Bathurst

SkiDer wins again at Bathurst to take a big step to the WSS Winter Championship title.

The Spanish rider SkiDer had a tough race against Romanian rider Seby. The Honda rider, who started from second place, took the lead after an intense fight against Pole Position man Max in the opening laps of the race. Seby took the lead by mid-race, but SkiDer counter-attacked with five laps to go although it always appeared that the final result would be decided in the last couple of laps. Seby had a great fight against SkiDer to overtake him in 6th lap but Spanish rider
made his move on the penultimate lap and quickly escaped to win a thrilling race to the delight of the 122.519 spectators and now has 4 wins and 6 podiums from 7 starts.
Motostore was also powerless to prevent SkiDer to take the win, settling for third place.
The fight for positions further down the field became more intense with the extra available points inspiring Vouks to fourth place after a long battle with mgr.
SunAndBike eventually got the better of max to take sixth whilst Adonf, SFW and JC completed the top ten.

"Hi all! GG Seby! congratulations, good race and very consistent m8, congrats also for Motostore for 3th place. Vouks... u lost the podium again hehehehe gg's for SunAndBike and mgr, gr8 result m8s.
I'm very very surprised because I fell down 1 time and sincerelly I wasnt hoping for this result...
SFW!! what happend m8?! hehe hurry up in next race.
About my race... I started so well, not good first laps as I hoped, I went with very very caution because this track is the easiest of the champ to make a crash, then at half of the race I tried to make a good lap and falled down in that attempt (lost aprox 5 sec), but at next lap I did good lap in 59.0 and last lap in 59.6.
The bike worked very good, 280 kmh at straight... not so bad, the tyre damage here is too little than other tracks, therefore, soft tyres logically was the best solution for me and for the other riders I think lol.
I hope to do a good race in the next GP at Oran Park (nice track indeed).
later m8s, good luck!" said race winner SkiDer.

"Weird thing, when i practice 6-7 hours for a race i get 3rd or worse (i fall), now that i didnt practice at all for Bathurst this week i get 2nd, just 0.4 behind the winner. I did some laps here but before the champ started, about 2 months ago and it seems it was a good thing to do.
I wasnt that fast but i didnt fall and no mistakes so i've got a good result. I was hoping for a 5th or 6th. I'm never happy with 2nd because it means i lost the race, i'm more happy with a 3rd because it means that i'm lucky to step on the final step of the podium.
This is my 5th podium from 8 races, the rest of the 3 races were the ones where i fell. Maybe if i wont make mistakes i'll be able get podium all the time (i wish tongue.gif).
Another good result in the bag, that win i was hoping for has to wait because i dont have time to practice for the next races, i have to work on the MotoGP rules and pages for the site.
Good luck every1." said second man today, Seby.

"Congratulation to Skider and Seby wink.gif

"Good race m8s
Great race Skider! you are the best of this categorie.
Seby good race too and Motostore always for a podium.
On this track my record is 2.01.8 but in race i prefer ride clean without crash so 2.03 maxi I went to do better on Oran Park i hope.
gg for all and see you next week" said JC after the race.

In the championship standings SkiDer took a big step to the WSS Winter Championship title after Sunday's race. He now leads with 204 points, SFW is second with 181 points and Motostore is third with 165 points while fourth stands Seby with 141.
Vouks moved up to 5th with 115 points, Max lies 6th with 110 points and Maxou is 7th with 93.
Gaz&Slide, Dolz and SunAndBike complete the top ten with 92, 90 and 90 points.

Join us in one week's time for the WSS ROUND 9 at Oran Park.
